Caity and I have been friends since the 6th grade when she invited me to her murder mystery birthday party playing the pivotal role of Moose Houston. While Moose was almost locked up Caity and I have been friends ever since. We’ve gone on countless adventures together, including hunting for hot springs and white river rescues on a rafting trip. When Caity moved to Spokane we even invented our own Fallfest holiday to ensure that we still had a reason to get together to celebrate all things fall. I am so lucky to have a friend like Caity stand next to me on this special day.
Jade ‘Kathryn’ Martin
Best Woman
I met Jade in 2003. We weren’t those people that instantly became friends. In fact, we were sort of annoyed by each other at first. But we had the same friends, so we naturally started hanging out more and more. Jade would often come over and watch TV (even if I wasn’t home), as she felt comfortable in my house, which I thought was pretty awesome. I moved to Arizona in 2007 and Jade was one of the first people to come visit me. It’s true… absence makes the heart grow fonder. We would text, and talk, and visit when we could, but this is when Jade became one of my best friends. Life has thrown a lot of curve balls at me, and Jade has always been there to support me, encourage me, send me thoughtful gifts at just the right time, and love me unconditionally. We don’t get to see each other as often as we would like, but I know she is there for me, day or night. I love you, Kathryn, and am so honored that you will be standing with me on my wedding day.
Russell Corey Johnson
Best Man
My little brother Russell has been a big part of my life since he was born, making me the middle child for a few years until the twins returned the favor to him. Family has always been a positive factor for me, and Russ is a large reason why. Always supportive, eager to help out in any situation, I am lucky to have a brother like him in my corner. He was my first friend and confidant and remains so to this day. I’m truly honored to have been part of his wedding ceremony as his best man when he married Alana and can’t wait for him to be a part of my and Nic’s wedding.
Kyle Joseph Harmon
Best Man
I met Kyle after I moved to Washington, around 2009. He was the worship leader at the church I attended, and I was just in awe of his talents. I was fortunate enough to meet him one night and learned that he was from Colorado… the same city where my family owned a coffee shop, so we instantly hit it off and started to reminisce about how awesome Colorado is. Shortly after, he and his wife invited me over to their house for games, food, and great conversation. I can’t even tell you exactly when it happened, but Kyle quickly became one of my best friends. We attended sporting events, traveled internationally and domestically, ate some very delicious meals, and have continued to have never-ending conversations around life, faith, family, and everything in between. Thank you, Kyle, for standing with me these last 10 years, for standing with me on my wedding day, and for continuing to stand with me through whatever life may throw our way. You and Joanna have been an absolute blessing in my life.
